This picture is of an ice shelf at the base of a north facing cliff. The shades are different vintages of ice and debris. Mt. Edith Cavell is in Jasper National Park just south of the townsite of Jasper. The following picture shows a wider view of the area. You can see the ice shelf in the centre right.
