Douglas Squirrel

After a rather long winter, spring arrived with sudden welcome warm temperature. We went for a walk about Campbell River Valley Regional Park and found this little guy on a tree stump. He was accustomed to people walking by and was easy to photograph.

Dedicated photographers may note that despite having a newer and very good D3 camera that the D2x was used for the last couple of images. The D3 is working well, but the older camera has a smaller image area, effectively giving more "magnification" to whatever lens is on it. So for nature or close-up photography we still use the D2x. We very much appreciate that both cameras use the same accessories, including batteries!
