Female Widgeon

For whatever reason, it seems that whenever we go to the Reifel Bird Santuary each of us always leaves with at least one good photograph. We made several this first Sunday in spring. This photograph of a female Widgeon is one example. We were pleased to see that the Santuary is increasingly popular, yet there are plenty of walkways and the crowded parking lot still gives way to a pleasant, quiet stroll where we see far more birds than people.
