Bunsen Lake is a popular area for hikers, boaters and fishermen. The lake itself is a reservour for electrical generation, it supplies Vancouver with extra power when demand is high. A consequence of this is that the height of the lake varies. This photograph was taken when the lake was higher than normal. That is why the low tree branches are so close to the water.
