These Snow Geese were photographed at Iona Beach Park, just north of the Vancouver Airport. They arrive in our area every October and return to Russia in March. Many of the birds stay in the area over winter. These birds were discussing what to do about the rising tide, the grassy strip was quite narrow and here was little standing room. We photographed them for about 15 minutes before they flew off in search of better foraging.
