This picture of a late fall flowering Aster was made in Vancouver's Van Dusen Gardens. We had just taken delivery of a shift/tilt lens and this is one of the first photographs made with the lens. Although this is our first tilt lens for 35mm/digital camera, we have experience with large and medium format cameras with tilting/shifting lenses. In this picture, the lens tilt provides a sharp image with plenty of detail over the entire width of the flower.
