Blue Elderberry

This Blue Elderberry is growing wild in a provincial park somewhat near Vancouver. The plant is barely in its range, as it prefers drier and hotter climates. The Red Elderberry is better suited to the west coast of Canada. The berries of both species are edible but not at all tasty, it takes a lot of suger and boiling to make elderberry jam or wine.
