Smoke in Chuwanten Valley

This picture was made from the Alpine Summit parking area of Manning Park. There was a large fire over the border, in a U.S. forest, and its smake was coming down the east side of the valley. This picture is of the west side of that valley where the smake was thinner. We didn't realize until we saw it for ourselves just how far the smoke from a fire travels. It was at least 20km from the smokey area in the bottom left corner of this picture.
