Stone Sheep Lamb

The Stone Sheep of northern British Columbia are not as well known as the Big Horn Sheep. They are also called "Short Horn" or "Thin Horn" Sheep, but these are not so complementary names. They frequent the high country of the northern Rocky Mountains, where there is little vegetation and this is where the name "Stone Sheep" originates. This lamb and its herd were eating the soil at the base of a hoodoo, presumably for the salt and minerals.
