Fall Colours at Coffee Lake

The reason we travel at the end of August in the Yukon is to see the colours of fall. 2007 had a glorious display, of which this picture is a small sample. Note that the colour saturation in this image is not changed from the camera's "normal" setting.

Coffee Lake is on the Campbell Highway, close to Ross River in the Yukon. The highway is unpaved and is quite rough in places but it is a far more scenic route to Dawson City from outside the Yukon than the well travelled Alaskan and Klondike highways.
