Steller's Jay

 

The provincial bird of British Columbia. This bird is commonly heard in the trees and bushes of our region, but it isn't that easy to photograph. The bird is fairly active, so it doesn't give a photographer much time to focus and compose a shot. This particular picture is a crop of the original.
