Bearberry in Fall Colour

This is more Tundra detail from the Dempster Highway, close to the Arctic Circle. Here we show Bearberry (Arctostaphylus alpina) amidst Reindeer Lichen, the green leaves to the right belonging to Lowbush Cranberry. The Bearberry leaves turn a bright red after the first frosts in late August.
