Zebra

While on a business trip to South Africa there was an opportunity to have a weekend at a lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve. The reserve is a large park on the border to Botswana close to Gaborone.  There were quite a large number of zebra in the park and they seemed to be okay with vehicles provided they were at least 30m away. As you can clearly see in this picture, the zebra is a white animal with black strips and not the other way around.  The particular species of zebra (there are 8) common to Madikwe has smaller light brown stripes between the black stripes.

This image was made with a borrowed camera, we would like to thank Tony Chang for his generosity.
