Mt. Hardisty

Mt. Hardisty is about 20km south of Jasper, Alberta along the Icefields Highway. The highway is considered one of the most picturesque in the world.  In this view, we are looking south-east towards the mountain from a trail just a few hundred meters from the road.  A steady wind is blowing west to east, chasing the clouds away from the summit, at 2716m.  The sheer cliff shelters the clouds from the wind so it appears as if the clouds continue the curve of the mountain.
