The Satin Flower is one of our earliest spring flowers and can be found growing amongst Gary Oak and on moss covered bluffs on southern Vancouver Island. It only grows to about 30 cm tall (these were only about 15cm off the ground) and to photograph this view of the flowers one may just have to lie down on the job.
