The last few leaves are coming off the trees in preparation for the upcoming winter. This particular leaf just happened to fall onto a branch where the sunlight would strike it making a natural ornament.
This image was made with a 105mm lens onto Kodak Gold film. It was scanned at 10,000 samples per square millimetre.
