Poached Egg Meadow Foam

This annual is native to western North American. Vancouver Island has its own unique species of Meadow Foam that looks like the plant pictured, but its flowers are about half the size. (These flowers are nearly 2.5cm. in diameter) The plant is a low ground cover, 10cm. in height at most, which blooms early in spring.
