The golden chain tree makes a spectacular display for a brief period in late spring. A week after the photo was taken the flowers formed yellow drifts of "snow" on the walkway below. Parents should exercise caution as children like to play with these flowers and sometimes are known to eat the beanlike seeds which form later in the year. All parts of this tree are poisonous
