From the Dempster Highway at the Arctic Circle

This photograph was taken from the Dempster highway at the arctic circle. This is the same place where we made the picture that we have on our main web page. The trees in this area are only waist high, most of the vegetation is small and tough. The hills are very weathered mostly ground down to gravel. Willow grows in the slight depressions created by run-off giving the yellow colour in the fall.
