Once again the summer gardens are in full bloom around the Vancouver area. The climate here is quite mild, so that there can be interesting looking flower beds over most of the year. Nevertheless spring and early summer is the best time for flowers.
We have made many photographs showing these flowers in their many colours trying to show just how many of the blooms there were. We settled on this image of a single stalk with a simple background. It doesn't show the numbers of the flowers, but it clearly shows what a bloom looks like. Our other images were simply too confusing, too many patches of colour.
